Frequently asked questions
Can you send the item to another hotel in Japan?
No. This service sends items only to the owner’s own address in their country of residence overseas.
What information and documents are required for a MyLost application?
Apply through the MyLost website as instructed and prepare a Power of Attorney (PoA) and evidence of ownership. Staff will confirm the exact documents based on the custodian’s requirements. Enter the overseas delivery address accurately and provide it in English as requested.
Does “as fast as three days” cover the whole process?
No. Any delivery estimate after dispatch excludes application, coordination, recovery and preparation time, and does not guarantee delivery times for every destination.
Can a shipping route be guaranteed in advance?
The item, packaging and destination must be reviewed first. A particular route cannot be guaranteed before review.
Can you retrieve and forward an item found by a hotel, airport or other custodian?
Apply through the MyLost website. We provide contact with the custodian, lost-property retrieval and overseas shipping, with collection and handover handled according to the custodian’s requirements and the item’s circumstances. Include the storage location if known. MyLost ships only to the owner’s own address in their country of residence outside Japan.
