Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What happens if I cannot meet the annual minimum of 5,000 shipments in the early stages? +

5,000 shipments per year (an average of about 400 per month) is a basic condition for first-tier exclusive agents, aimed at deepening collaboration and making effective use of regional resources. Since there is a ramp-up period in the early stages, we recommend proactive customer development. If the target is not met at the annual review, headquarters may revoke the "exclusive" qualification for that territory (allowing other agents to enter) or deduct 20% of the security deposit. However, use of the system may continue.

Q2. What are the customs clearance requirements for the "飛鳥CC Package (duties included)" to mainland China? +

The transit times and clearance rates of our own duties-included route between Japan and China are premised on "accurate, compliant declaration." Agents must require end users to accurately declare the details of their items. Under-declaration, false declaration, and the inclusion of prohibited items are strictly forbidden. If discovered, customs penalties, return shipping costs, and legal liability will be borne in full by the agent and the sender.

Q3. What is the compensation process if a delay, damage, or loss occurs in transit? +

Meito maintains a comprehensive priority-response system for after-sales service. If an anomaly occurs on an official route (EMS/DHL, etc.), our headquarters' dedicated customer support gives priority to submitting investigation requests and claim documents to Japan Post or the international courier on your behalf, and handles compensation in accordance with official standards. For proprietary routes, in accordance with the "Franchisee Management Regulations," the agent creates a ticket in the system, attaches supporting documents (damage photos, proof of value), and a representative follows up one-on-one.

Q4. Why is "no out-of-territory sales" so strictly stipulated? +

Territory protection exists to safeguard the core interests of all first-tier franchisees and to prevent price competition and excessive rivalry within the same brand. Territory exclusivity means that within that administrative area, you can exclusively leverage the Meito brand's interests and the low prices of the official routes, while also being expected to stay closely rooted in the region. If pickup is found to have taken place outside the territory, headquarters will issue a warning or deduct from the security deposit.

Q5. If I do not renew after the contract expires, will the 2 million yen security deposit be refunded in full? +

Yes, it will be refunded. If, at the end of the contract, there are no outstanding balances, pending compensation disputes, or penalties from serious violations between you and headquarters or your sub-customers, the 2 million yen security deposit will be refunded in full, without interest, to the original account on the date specified in the contract, following confirmation by both parties.
