Asset-Based Warehouse Operations / Customs & Bonded Warehouse Licenses|Our Strengths
Through "asset-based warehouse operations" that leverage our own large-scale logistics facilities,
Meito ensures end-to-end control and cost stability across the logistics process.
At Meito, we leverage self-managed large-scale logistics facilities based in Osaka and Tokyo to provide high-quality, stable logistics services through "asset-based warehouse operations." By owning our warehouses and related equipment in-house, we maintain a stable, long-term pricing structure that is unaffected by fluctuations in external lease rates. This allows our client companies to use reliable warehousing functions at a fixed rate.
Furthermore, because these assets are self-owned, we can flexibly accommodate fluctuations in handling volumes and shipping schedules. We have established a system that can smoothly handle short-lead-time projects and additional requirements during peak periods. This enables agile operations that keep pace with ever-changing market needs and business expansion.
In addition, because our services are provided directly through in-house operations, we eliminate intermediary margins and unnecessary broker costs within the distribution process. This achieves a transparent pricing structure for our customers while delivering logistics services with outstanding cost performance.
Customs & Bonded Warehouse Licenses Held
We have officially obtained both a customs brokerage license and a bonded warehouse license in-house, establishing a system in which the entire series of import and export processes can be completed consistently within our own organization. This enables us to handle complex procedures and management, including customs clearance of cargo, on a one-stop basis, significantly reducing the operational burden of our clients' international transactions.
In our bonded warehouses, cargo can be stored for extended periods with the payment of customs duties and consumption tax deferred. This creates flexibility in cash flow and dramatically increases freedom in inventory planning. In addition, within the bonded area, value-added services such as inspection, repackaging, labeling, specification changes, and simple processing of imported cargo are also possible, allowing specification adjustments and quality checks for each destination country to be completed before customs clearance.
In addition to these bonded functions, we are also equipped with fulfillment center capabilities that support cross-border e-commerce and the import of overseas-manufactured products, enabling us to manage the entire process from product procurement to delivery to the end customer in an integrated manner. Through this combination of functions, we can be used not merely for logistics operations, but as a core function in our clients' international expansion strategies.
In Japan, only a limited number of operators can provide the integrated three-in-one operation of bonded warehousing, customs clearance, and fulfillment, and this clearly differentiates us from other companies as one of our strengths. Beyond reducing logistics costs and improving operational efficiency, we support optimization across our clients' entire global supply chains.
