Ocean LCL Cargo Simplified Customs Clearance Service
Under the Ocean LCL Cargo Simplified Customs Clearance system that took effect in October 2025, Meito Inc. has obtained an import permit from the Nanko Branch Office of Osaka Customs. This is a new logistics solution for cross-border e-commerce operators that combines the low cost of ocean freight with speed comparable to air freight.
Traditionally, ocean freight cargo faced the challenges of complicated and time-consuming customs procedures. By leveraging this system, we achieve automated processing of declaration data, simplified required documents, and dramatically shortened customs clearance times. We flexibly handle everything from single-unit LCL shipments to large-volume, multi-item cargo.

Speed
Container pickup and devanning within 2 hours after the Osaka high-speed ferry arrives. Pickup, customs clearance, and delivery are all completed within the same day, achieving speed rivaling air freight.

Compatible with major EC platforms in Japan such as Amazon.co.jp, TEMU, and SHEIN (advance customs registration required). Ship to all marketplaces from a single base.
Low Cost

Duty-Free Benefit
Cargo with a declared value of 10,000 yen or less is eligible for duty exemption. Required documents are also simplified, further improving customs clearance speed.

Eligible Cargo Conditions
To use the simplified customs clearance system, the following conditions must be met. Please confirm the details individually at the time of your inquiry.
✓ Eligible Cargo
- ✓"Online mail-order cargo" sold on customs-registered EC platforms in Japan and shipped to individual recipients within Japan
- ✓"Low-value cargo" with a dutiable value of 16,666 yen or less, to which the duty exemption applies
- ✓Cargo with proper country-of-origin labeling and no false representation
✕ Ineligible Cargo
- ✕Dutiable items such as genuine leather and knitwear (T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc.)
- ✕Cargo subject to food quarantine, animal and plant quarantine, the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act, the Firearms and Swords Control Act, or intellectual property infringement (food, toys, cosmetics, medical devices, swords, counterfeit goods, etc.)
- ✕Cargo with false country-of-origin labeling (e.g., false "made in japan" labels)
