End-to-End Handling of Commercial Fixture Exports to Hawaii, Through to On-Site Delivery
Flow Diagram — End-to-End Fixture Export to Hawaii, DDU
One-stop service from collection in Japan through to delivery at local stores
Project Overview
This client, a commercial furniture and fixtures manufacturer operating stores in Hawaii, needed to export fixtures from Japan whose specifications were not available through local procurement. However, few vendors could handle the direct Hawaii-bound route arrangement, local customs clearance, and store delivery on an end-to-end basis, and routing shipments through multiple vendors was driving up both time and cost.
The Client's Challenges
- Few vendors could arrange fixture export routes to Hawaii
- Insufficient expertise in local customs clearance procedures
- No single vendor could handle everything through to store delivery (DDU delivery)
- Fixture packing specifications differed from vendor to vendor
Our Proposal & Response
Meito: End-to-End Export to Hawaii × Handling Through to On-Site Delivery
Leveraging Meito's global partner network, we secured a direct route from Osaka Port to Honolulu Port. Local customs clearance was handled through coordination with a local partner, and we established a framework to manage everything on an end-to-end basis through to store delivery (DDU) within the state of Hawaii.

Hawaii was a region where hardly any vendor could oversee the entire process from Japan through to on-site delivery. Meito had a network reaching all the way to local partners, so we could entrust the work to them with complete confidence.
