JPGOODBUY & JPDFS (Overseas Market Expansion) | Logistics Provider Services
Value-added tasks that machines cannot fully handle,
carefully performed by hand by our skilled staff
Labeling and Setting
One of the operations that add value to products and merchandise is "value-added processing." Traditionally, value-added processing is carried out by the manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers who produce or sell the products and merchandise, but it is by no means uncommon for logistics companies to take on this function on their behalf. At Meito, too, we handle requests from our customers and provide a wide range of JPGOODBUY & JPDFS services at logistics facilities across Japan.

Take price-tag attachment, for example. We handle the task of applying sticker-type or tag-type price labels to apparel, sundries, cosmetics, and other items entrusted to us by customers, whether by hand or by machine (handheld devices such as hand labelers and tagging guns).
On our customers' behalf, we also handle the task of replacing the various foreign-language labels affixed to products and merchandise produced and distributed overseas—such as "manufacturing labels" and "efficacy labels"—with Japanese-language labels. This is one of the essential functions for selling imported products and merchandise within Japan.
"Setting" is the task of packing multiple items, instruction manuals, message cards, and the like together into a single case (such as a gift box). Because setting work is not easy to automate, it is handled primarily by our warehouse staff, carefully and by hand.
We also handle "shrink packaging," in which containers and small boxes are wrapped in a nearly airtight state using film that shrinks when heat is applied. Applying shrink packaging with dedicated machinery helps ensure the safety of products and merchandise and prevents scratches and soiling.
Proper management at sites holding manufacturing licenses
Because quasi-drugs and cosmetics are items that can affect human life and health, strict management is required throughout the entire process from manufacturing to sales. Companies that undertake this value-added processing (such as logistics companies) must obtain a manufacturing license (for packaging, labeling, and storage) under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act.
At Meito, we have obtained manufacturing licenses at logistics facilities such as "Atsugi Logistics Center," and we carry out a range of value-added processing with a supervising pharmacist stationed on-site, so customers can entrust these operations to us with complete peace of mind.
In addition, "kitting"—such as the initial setup of PCs and tablets, installing applications, and packing information terminals together with their accessories—is one of our areas of expertise, with an extensive track record to date.
